Kenseth holds off Gordon to win back to back

Matt Kenseth held off Jeff Gordon in the closing laps of the Auto Club 500 in Fontana, Calif.

Kenseth becomes only the fifth driver to win the first two races of the NASCAR season. The last to do it you ask? Jeff Gordon back in 1997.

Kenseth took the lead from Gordon with 38 laps while leaving the pits. A few times Gordon would close the gap on Kenseth but could never get the job done.

Congratulations to Kenseth and his new team this year. They are really getting the job done.

It wasn't all rainbows and cupcakes for everyone though. This track played havoc on a lot of cars too.

Running 9,500 rpm's can do a lot of damage to an engine over 500 miles and we saw that. Hendrick lost a few cars including Dale Jr. and Mark Martin to engine failure.

RCR also had a lot of problems with their cars as well. Their highest finisher was Clint Bowyer, who finished 19th. I don't know if they didn't have the setups they wanted or they weren't making enough power but they had a terrible day.

I would also like to say congrats to Tony Stewart for finishing 8th. He is definitely not gonna be a Michael Waltrip. He has the talent to drive, own a team, and win. Unlike other owner/drivers in the series.

What are your thoughts on the race. Leave some feedback. We would love to hear your opinions.

Don't like him, but damn he is good.

So I just thought I would write a little bit about how bad ass Kyle Busch is, and this is coming from someone who doesn't really care much for his attitude.

Busch dominated the Camping World truck race Saturday afternoon and then went on to dominate the Nationwide race Saturday night. He set a record for winning two NASCAR events in the same day. It had previously never been done before.

Busch did all this in dominating fashion too. He led 143 laps of 150 in the Nationwide race, led 95 of 100 laps in the truck race, and won the race by more than nine seconds.

This kid is a damn good driver and deserves some respect. But all he ever gets are boo's from the crowd. Which I like.

What do you think of Kyle Busch? Do you like him or hate him? Feel free to leave your comments. We like to hear what you have to say.

Daytona washout

Congratulations to Matt Kenseth on his win at the rain shortened 2009 Daytona 500.

What do you think about ending the race? I know it was raining but they new it was coming. They should have just gave them a 20 lap shootout before it started to rain. That is the whole excitement of the race, the last 10 laps. At lap 10 they all start to get close and battle. What are your opinions? Leave them in the comments section. I want to hear what the fans would have wanted.

The race was filled with calamities including the Dale Jr., Brian Vickers altercation. No matter who was at fault for this, it was hilarious. Lets battle over the lucky dog position with 70 something laps to go. Good call guys.

I would like to give some recognition to the Petty Enterprises gang. Way to go A.J. Allmendinger and Elliot Sadler on your second and fifth places finishes. Allmendinger ran up front most of the day. I think he has a lot of potential. He raced his way in last season and now this season. Keep up the good work Allmendinger.

What were your favorite moments from the race? Something you hated? Something you liked? Did your driver do alright? I want to hear from the fans. Give me some feedback.
