Rain-shortened New Hampshire race

Kurt Busch wins the Lenox 301, which was called on lap 284 because of rain.

Tony Stewart led the most laps and had the car to beat until he hit pit road, along with the other drivers, to take two tires and fuel right before the rain started coming down.

All the drivers who finished in the top seven didn't pit and took a chance that the race would be called.

All in all it wasn't a very exciting race. Except close to the end when Juan Montoya and Kyle Busch started racing each other hard. They were beatin' and bangin' on each other trying to gain a few positions. Then, after the race, they both blamed it on each other like a bunch of little girls.

Infineon Raceway, Toyota/Save Mart 350 June 22, 2008

Kyle Busch comes from 30th to first to win the Toyota/Save Mart 350. He also led the most laps and leads the championship points race. This is his fifth win in the Nextel Cup this season.

Well it was a usual NASCAR road race, boring. It may be fun watching it live but TNT likes to show more commercials than the actual race.

It's no fun for me watching someone lead every lap (unless it's my favorite driver). It did get exciting towards the end though. I also don't like how they hire all the road course ringers to take the places of the regular drivers.
I did, however, like that the Wood Brothers hired Marcos Ambrose to driver the 21 car. He races in the Nationwide series every weekend and I was glad to see that they gave him the chance to run his first NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race. He did a great job until he got wrecked and broke a gear on lap 84. I think you will see him back in that car again this season.

The most exciting part was the wreck with less than 10 laps to go that involved the third, fourth and fifth place cars of Stewart, McMurray and Harvick.

Jeff Gordon got a great finish after having such a bad car all day long. Hendrick Motorsports had 3 finish in the top 12. Earnhardt Jr finished 12

Dale Jr. wins the Life Lock 400 at Michigan International Speedway

Happy Fathers Day

Congratulations to Jr. on his first win of the season, with his new team and ends a 76 race winless streak.

He won by saving enough gas to make it to the end on a green-white checker flag. He ran in the top 10 all day and was in the lead when it counts.

Kasey Kahne wins at Pocono

Kasey Kahne started on the pole, led the most laps and won the Pocono 500 today. But it wasn't smooth sailing the whole way. Kahne had to bounce back from a problem on pit road that sent him to the back of the pack.

There were only a few cars that could challenge Kahne. They were the 11 of Denny Hamlin, who finished third and the 99 of Carl Edwards who finished nineth. Edwards went from first to 24th on the restart with ten laps to go because of a second pit stop due to a flat tire.

The Kyle Busch Show

Kyle Busch wins the Best Buy 400 at Dover.

Busch led more than 150 laps and finished the race more than five seconds ahead of second place finisher, Carl Edwards. Busch also took a commanding lead in the Sprint Cup points standings.

There was also a big shake up in the points standings thanks to a lap 16 wreck that collected many top 12 drivers in the points. The wreck was caused by Elliot Sadler but collected top 12 drivers Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kayne.

TOP 10
1. Kyle Busch
2. Carl Edwards
3. Greg Biffle (led the most laps)
4. Matt Kenseth
5. Jeff Gordon
6. Martin Truex Jr.
7. Jimmie Johnson
